Plan Your Trip Find quick answers to common questions about our Shala River boat tours below. Can’t find what you need? Feel free to ask us anything—we’re here to make your Albanian adventure unforgettable!
The Shala River is a hidden gem accessible only by boat. Our tours depart daily from the Komani Lake Ferry Terminal. You can meet us there directly, or we can arrange professional transport for you from Shkodër,
To ensure you get the most “golden hour” sunlight inside the Shala Canyon, our boats depart between 10:00 AM. We recommend arriving at the Koman Dam at least 20 minutes early to enjoy a coffee and board comfortably.
Absolutely. Safety is the core of Wild Tour Albania Ltd. We provide life jackets for all ages and our captains are highly experienced with the lake’s currents. The walk from the boat to the relaxation areas is short and manageable for most fitness levels.
Our peak season runs from June to late August.
June and July: Perfect for swimming, as the water (while always refreshing!) is at its most inviting temperature.
May and September: Ideal for those who prefer a quieter, more serene canyon experience with fewer visitors. As part of the Wild Tour Albania Ltd commitment to quality, we monitor water levels daily to ensure the best possible boat access throughout the season.
No need to print anything! Once you book through Shalariver.com, you will receive a digital confirmation via email .
